AppropriationsHouse Labor/HHS/ED Subcommittee Increases FY 08 LIHEAP Funding by $500 MillionJune 7, 2007The House Labor, Health and Human Services Subcommittee on Appropriations today provided $2.662 billion for FY 2008, an increase of $500 million over the comparable amount provided for FY 2007. The bill provides for FY 08: $1.98 billion in block grant funding, the same level as provided in FY 07 and $682 million in contingency funds, an increase of about $500 million over the FY 07 contingency fund level of $181.7. |
