House Passes FY 2010 Labor, Health and Human Services and Education Appropriations Bill

Approves $5.1 billion for LIHEAP

The House approved $5.1 billion for LIHEAP on July 24 as part of its version of the FY 2010 Labor, Health and Human Services and Education Appropriations bill. It was also the same funding level provided for FY 2009. Of the total amount, $4.509 billion will go for the basic grant and $590.3 million for contingency funds. Attached is a table showing the state-by-state distribution of funds.
